    Indeed you do have to ask why. one must take into consideration that Equanio's accounts on his identity will be without reasonable doubt be challenged because his questionable records that may suggest that he was born in North America and secondly to gain to fame. Aside to my biased discourse on Equiano, I do believe is African!
